Versions Maven plugin report not showing latest dependency version

Hi

My Maven project is using the Versions Maven plugin to produce the dependency updates Maven report. My project currently depends on logback 1.1.2. The latest report shows no version for Next Version, 1.1.3 for Next Incremental, 1.2.0 for Next Minor, and no version for Next Major. The latest version in Maven Central is 1.2.3.

One use I have for the report is simply to update some dependencies to the latest version irrespective of what the version is. Why is the latest version of logback not listed on the report, i.e. version 1.2.3? Do I need to configure something in my Maven POM? Have I misunderstood something about what the report is showing me?
