Using docck plugin prior to release

Hi all,

I am going through the plugin release checklist first time (xml-maven-plugin) and I am attempting to run mvn docck:check. I am getting an error which looks suspiciously like MDOCCK-26.  Does anyone actually use docck when releasing? Any idea how I can get around this issue, or should we remove that requirement from the checklist?

Anyhow, I'm doing a beta release so its not urgent yet.
