Maven Versions does not build

Hi,

I'm working on a PR for a ticket https://github.com/mojohaus/versions/issues/1071 for which I haven't actually gotten any response, so I do wonder if you'll accept it or if you think it's outside the scope of this plugin.

However, I forked, cloned and checkout a new feature then ran `/mvnw -B release:prepare release:perform` as per instructions in README. But it does build due to:

"You need at least Maven 3.9.0 to build MojoHaus projects."

Maven is set to 3.8.6 in the maven-wrapper.properties. I think this need to be updated.
