[VOTE] Release Versions Maven Plugin version 2.9.0

Hi,

I'd like to release version 2.9.0 of the Versions Maven Plugin

The Versions Plugin is used when you want to manage the versions of artifacts in a project's POM.

We solved 41 issues:

yes, i've seen this change to optional - but as i'm quite new here i was feeling more confident doing the vote anyway, so anyone has the chance to raise any objections.
if there are no responses to the lazy consensus i'm happy as well.

given you opened a vote, I'll add a vote as a contribution, but not as an incentive to run a vote :)

and FYI, I tested as usual reproducible builds: the build is reproducible, reference build has been done on Windows with JDK 11

for those interested to try, you can rebuild and compare with

   mvn clean package -Prun-its artifact:compare -Dreference.repo=https://oss.sonatype.org/content/repositories/orgcodehausmojo-1212/

you'll need to be on Windows and with JDK 11 to get successful result comparison

and for those with even more interest, you can also rebuild from *nix using mvncrlf script from https://github.com/jvm-repo-rebuild/reproducible-central , but it's more tricky because you'll have to adapt the path to the script inside it...

my vote was in fact an opportunity to share all that :)
