New feature design discussion request (#133)

Hi,

Ray Tsang and I are working on implementing flatten-maven-plugin at Google but we require a new feature to be added first. Before we jump into the implementation, we would like to have a design discussion.

Would anyone like to volunteer? Ideally, we would like to have a conversion as soon as possible.
