I am using SADP to set up a second hand hikvision nvr. It was previously owned by someone else and it is bound to an existing hik-connect account. I know you can 'unbind' that account through SADP but every time I tried to do this, a 'network error' pops up and it seems to suggest my NVR is not connected to the internet, as it cannot load the verification code (sorry the error message is misleading).

my question about hikvision reset script:
Is it possible to use the script outside the local network? For example, in the provider network (172.21.1.0/24) or for a specific address\dns?
The SADP software packed in WinZIP archive is available in Hikvision website ( -download.hikvision.com/uploadfile/soft/tools/SADPTool_v3.0.0.2build20150911.exe). When the hikvision device is added incorrectly the first time by having one digit off on a port number or ip address and/or incorrect password or export to group was unchecked, The group of cameras does not get created. To avoid this from happening when adding, simply delete the incorrectly added device from device management and re-add again correctly or fix the issue by creating/adding the cameras to a group in the group tab.
