Cena's debut album, You Can't See Me, was recorded with his cousin Tha Trademarc. It features, among other songs, his entrance theme, "The Time is Now", and the single "Bad, Bad Man", for which a music video was made that parodied 1980s culture, including the television show The A-Team. A video was also made for the second single, "Right Now", that premiered on the August 8, 2005 episode of WWE Monday Night Raw. Cena and Tha Trademarc were later featured on a track by The Perceptionists called "Champion Scratch". Cena appeared on T-Boz's album, Still Cool.[393]

"Despite existing as a condiment bottle, Mustard is clearly very passionate about music and manages to meet both artists and their art where they are at. We are incredibly grateful for the interview and review Mustard gave us because with both it was very obvious Mustard spent time carefully crafting questions and thoughts. While we'll never like the actual taste of Mustard, we greatly appreciate their music taste!"

Even if you're not a huge fan of the WWE, you're probably still familiar with John Cena's entrance music. That's just how big of a star Cena is. Hell, Cena dropped a banger with Wiz Khalifa last year. He truly has the game on lock and according to producer Jake One, that instrumental wasn't even made for Cena or the WWE in fact, but was made with Ghostface Killah in mind.

We have certain go-to musicians when we want live music. Dan Wendelken, who lives in New York, is the #1 trumpeter on our list because he diligently gets us exactly what we need, has a healthy sense of urgency (the kind it takes to live in this sort of filmmaking career), and has a solidly great trumpeting style.

After some time studying the instrument balancing on The Night The Lights Went Out In Georgia (the original sample on John Cena's intro music), we figured out a good way to mix trumpets so they could stand up to the massive drums we were making:

Granted, the "Soundtrack Suite" version was made for listening (no loud surprises), whereas the original synchronized-to-film music was seriously loud. If you're curious to know how loud, check out this private track - be warned it gets crazy at around 42 seconds:

Back in 2017, Cena appeared on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon and played a segment called the Whisper Challenge. With headphones blasting music, the aim was to guess what was being said by reading each other's lips. Despite the difficulty, the former champion didn't seem fazed by the challenge. After putting on his pair of headphones, Cena began to smile and bop slightly from side to side. Jimmy Fallon himself even cracked a laugh at the dance move before moving on to the game.

The Cenation leader's dance moves have become the newest trending meme on Tiktok and other social media platforms alike. Fans overlay Cena in different videos and add music to the background with funny captions. One of the more popular songs is a sped-up version of FIFTY FIFTY's "Cupid." While this isn't the first time the former champion has been at the center of a meme, he continues to be a good sport about it all.

In the years since, Jake One has worked with artists as diverse as Drake, T.I. and De La Soul. Two weeks ago, he performed in front of a sold-out crowd at the Regent Theater in downtown L.A. as part of Tuxedo, a new project he has formed with soul singer Mayer Hawthorne. But back in 2004, he was a hungry young producer looking to take any work he could get. When Cena approached him looking for some entrance music, he was more than happy to contribute.

New Zealand cricketer Glenn Phillips came up with an ultimate tribute for John Cena during the recently concluded triangular series between the Black Caps, Bangladesh and Pakistan. Phillips has become a mainstay in the New Zealand batting lineup. When the star batter walked out to bat for the hosts against Pakistan, his entrance music was nothing but a delight for all John Cena fans. Cena's World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) entrance theme was booming at the stadium when Phillips walked out to bat for the Black Caps during New Zealand's home game against Babar Azam-led side.

A nice counterbalance to Peacemaker's more bombastic tendencies, this quiet musical moment follows a short exchange between Chris and Harcourt (Jennifer Holland) in which the latter states that our antihero isn't as bad a person as she initially thought. Peacemaker sits down to play the piano, achieving a modicum of inner peace before Vigilante (Freddie Stroma) bursts the bubble, informing us that the diary Adabayo (Danielle Brooks) planted is public knowledge and that Christopher Smith is now the most wanted person in the country.

Cena, who was promoting his new movie, "Bumblebee," said the famous hand gesture stemmed from his brother imitating a dance in a 50 Cent music video that was popular when he recorded his theme song, "The Time is Now."

"I was dared to do it," Cena told Norton while sitting next to actor Matthew McConaughey, who was also a guest on the show. "So I was actually making the music for my own theme song that you just so heard and [to audience] finally serenaded me to, thank you very much. We played it for my brother and the first time he heard it, 50 Cent's crew had a really popular song, "In Da Club." And [my brother] heard it the first time and instead of dancing -- and he was our litmus test when songs were good, when songs were bad -- he did this [holds hand in front of face and shakes head].
