Rajdhani express gets the highest priority on the Indian railway network.[4] They are fully air-conditioned. Passengers are served optional meals (food price included in the train fare) during the journey. Depending on the duration and timings of the journey, these could include morning tea, breakfast, lunch, high tea and dinner.[4] All Rajdhani Express trains offer three classes of accommodation: AC First Class (1A) with 2-berth and 4-berth coupès (with locking facility for privacy), AC 2-tier (2T) with open bays (4 berths/bay + 2 berths on the other side of the aisle of each bay), provided with curtains for privacy, and AC 3-tier (3T) with open bays (6 berths/bay + 2 berths on the other side of the aisle of each bay) without curtains.
Currently there are 25 pairs of trains, connecting New Delhi to important cities across the country. These trains have fewer stops than other express trains and halt only at prominent stations. Recently Dynamic pricing has been introduced on all Rajdhani express trains.
Indian Railways started to upgrade Rajdhani Coaches to Tejas coaches. These trains are called the Tejas-Rajdhani Express This replaced its traditional LHB Rajdhani coaches. Soon all Rajdhani express will get brand new LHB Tejas Rakes.
The soundtrack received negative reviews. Joginder Tuteja from Bollywood Hungama gave the soundtrack 1.5 stars out of 5, and expressed surprise at the very inclusion of songs in the film. He, however praised the song Koi Umeed (Western).[13]

Electric engines(WAP-4s and now WAP-7s)are now allotted for the present Howrah and Bombay(Mumbai) Rajdhanis,replacing the diesels. These trains have fewer stops than other express trains which are generally prominent cities of any state like Allahabad, Bhopal, Lucknow, Kanpur, Nagpur, Dhanbad , Bokaro , Jhansi, Jaipur etc. Some cities have more than one Rajdhani Express serving them. Mughalsarai , Gaya , Bhopal and Jhansi are served by the number of Rajdhani Express trains (6 each).

This express train (12909/12910) is the fastest on the Garib Rath service, and is the second-fastest train to connect Mumbai and New Delhi. Starting at Bandra Terminus and ending at Hazrat Nizamuddin in South Delhi, the Garib Rath Express has a maximum speed of 130kmph, and takes one hour and 15 minutes longer than the Rajdhani. The train has more (albeit narrower) berths and a larger seating capacity than other fast trains. The Bandra Nizamuddin has both on-board and e-catering available.
The first and fastest Duronto express train to be launched, this train runs non-stop from Sealdah in central Kolkata to New Delhi. The Sealdah Duronto Express (12259/12260) can achieve a maximum speed of 130kmph, and takes less than 17 hours to complete its long journey. The train has an artistic yellow-green exterior and runs at a frequency of four days a week. The Sealdah Duronto Express was extended beyond New Delhi to Bikaner, Rajasthan in 2020.
