If you are an American, you can join the class action lawsuit by calling the law firm of Narancic & Katzman in California and speaking to Perry Narancic.

Unfortunately, I was told by Perry that Canadians cannot participate because of the difference in our securities laws. I was advised to lodge a complaint with the Securities Commission in my province, which I am doing.

Thanks for the information Grace. When I was communicating with Vishal he said that Canadians & Americans could both join the class action. I guess that’s not the case. I did launch a complaint with the SEC in Alberta as well but it’s important to note that the SEC will not be involved in recovering anyone’s money. They are looking to press charges under the SEC laws so forming a class action for the Canadians that were impacted is likely still a good idea but I didn’t find a local lawyer willing to work for a reasonable retainer. Don’t know if Canadian lawyers would be willing to collect after the results of the lawsuit an difficult to imagine if there is anything left to recover given all the time that has passed. I’m willing to look into this further if there is enough interest and willingness to work together.

Grace.. first let me commend you in your upfront actions and to lay all of this on the table.. I am certainly on board and will assist wherever I can . I will do the same over the next few days once I compile all of my information. My information is very similar to yours with some dates that will change but for the most part we are in the same position.
