Chrome extension "Open link in foreground tab" broken in Chrome 67

The Chrome extension "Open link in foreground tab" appears to be broken in the latest version of Chrome (67.0.3396.62).

It works fine in Chrome 66.0.3359.181, but when I updated Chrome, the extension disappeared.

I currently have one computer with Chrome 66 (where the extension works), and another computer with Chrome 67 (where the extension is gone).  The computer with Chrome 66 is telling me to relaunch Chrome to finish updating, but I'm delaying this step as long as possible so I won't lose the "open link in foreground tab" feature.

Please advise as to when/whether this problem will be fixed.

I had to restart my Windows 10 PC, and when I relaunched Chrome, it was running version 67, and the "Open link in foreground tab" extension was gone.  I had an "Add to Chrome" window open for the extension from an earlier session, but when I tried to reinstall it, I got an error saying "Invalid manifest".  Again, I hope this extension has not been abandoned and will be updated to allow it to be installed in the latest version of Chrome.

Still not working (unable to reinstall).  Two weeks after I first reported this, and I'm worried because there has been no response here to my problem report.  Will this extension ever be fixed, or has it been abandoned?

I made modifications to the source code of this Chrome Extension, and it's now working for me.

I sent the author my modifications, and asked him to update the extension. Further information is available here: https://github.com/mohamedmansour/prayer-times-extension/pull/18

You can download my version from https://github.com/msdousti/prayer-times-extension

Then you can install it in your Chrome using the method discussed here: https://developer.chrome.com/extensions/getstarted#unpacked

Just in case there might have been some confusion here:  I was not asking about a "Prayer Times" extension.  I was asking about the "Open link in foreground tab" extension.

Let me check both of them. I was on vacation, sorry for the delay :-) Yea Chrome changed the format which broke older extensions. Let me see what I can do!
