Summer time fun!

June 15th is here, and our kids and grandkids will soon be out of school. Summer will officially be upon us, and we remain very busy here at the North Country Mission of Hope (NCMOH).

A huge thank you to Judy Charland from the Lamb of God Church in Estero, FL, for her efforts in support of the annual NCMOH concert featuring Towne Meeting. Judy has run this fundraiser for the past 13 years, and she and Towne Meeting have raised over $11,000 for Eco projects. Thank you as well to Towne Meeting and to all those who were able to attend the event!

Annual Golf Tournament

The McSweeney's/ NCMOH annual Golf Tournament will take place at the Barracks Golf Courses in Plattsburgh on Friday, August 14th, 2026. Our tournament is a 2-person scramble, with a shotgun start. McSweeney's provides Michigan's on-course throughout the tournament. 

You can provide additional support to the NCMOH by participating in our basket raffle, balloon pop, 50/50, tee shot on the green games, and much more. You'll also compete for prizes for Men's and Women's closest to the hole and crooked line games.  We have teams in Mixed, Men's, and Women's groups. The winning group wins prizes in each category.  Costs and details can be found in the attached brochure.

Do you have a regular foursome? There is no need to break up the group. You can play together on two teams. 

Not a golfer, you can still help out! 

Become a Friend of the Mission sponsor for $50.00, or sponsor a hole for $150.00. You can explore all the different funding levels on the attached brochure.

We also need 25 to 30 Gift Baskets (pick any theme you'd like) for our raffle, or donations of gift cards between $15.00 and $50.00 in value for our balloon pop, both of which make up a large portion of the event's overall fundraising total.

We could also use more volunteers for setup, teardown, registration, gift basket, and 50/50 ticket sales. We also need on-course help with the on-the-green game and much more. Please email meat@ jpcarl...@gmail.com if you are interested in helping out with the event.

Last but certainly not least, we could use your prayers for the event's success and for those who will benefit from the fundraiser's proceeds.

Please consider how you might help the NCMOH with this, our biggest single fundraiser. It is truly a fun day out, enjoying the beauty of one of the area's most prominent golf courses.
