Hello,

My model contains 24 holes where the beams will go. I have got the force and moment that each beam creates in X,Y and Z components, from robot, and wish to add these as boundary conditions. I am unsure if I can directly input the values from robot, which are total forces, or if I have to convert them to kN/m and therefore divide each force by the surface area of the hole.

Thanks for any help,

Grainne.

I've attached the cubit file and and a picture of the area in question.

Yes, you need to divide for examle like this:
{15/SurfaceArea(666)}

Where '15' is the magnitude of your force (keep in my the right units) and the '666' is id (index, number in cubit) the surface you want to apply the force.
