Hello,
New MoFEM release is available. Many changes improving efficiency, code formatting, documentation, for details look at the pull merged pull requests.
In particular;
- New efficient element for linear elastic material subjected for small strains but large topological changes are implemented.
- Functions are allowing easy management of tensorial base functions. (Do not mistake this with a scalar, vectorial or tensorial fields, i.e. tensorial field like strain can be approximated by a scalar, vectorial or tensorial base).
- Interface for adding user base functions, that includes scalar, vectorial and tensorial bases.
- Improved implementation to apply traction forces. In particular, linearly varying pressure can be easily applied.
- Many changes in core finite element implementation, faster, more robust and resilient to bugs code.
- Many changes in the tenor library, adding operation on symmetric and not symmetric tensors of rank three and four.
- Cleaned and improved tutorial documentation.
- Improved documentation and spack installation method
The recommended installation method is with spack:
To make it short:
git clone --single-branch -b mofem https://github.com/likask/spack.git
. spack/share/spack/setup-env.sh
spack install mofem-users-modules@0.8.16
spack view symlink -i um_view_v0.9.49 mofem-users-modules@0.9.49
You can install fracture module as follows:
spack install mofem-fracture-module@0.9.49
spack view symlink -i um_fm_view_v0.9.49 mofem-users-modules@0.9.49
Kind regards,
Lukasz
