Analytics in a FileMaker solution?

I've seen a couple of articles on using Google Analytics in FileMaker, has anyone tried using that in a production system? What was your experience like? Are there any alternatives that people have used to gather similar kinds of data on how users are employing their FileMaker solutions?

Still reviewing Matt's video on the topic at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ljzu6eV1Rko but I noted that it's dated 2013. Are there more recent developments that I should be paying attention to?

@Cristos: I did several FileMaker/Google Analytics implementations back in 2010, and even presented in one of Filemaker's webinars on the topic.

Of course, this is even older than the material that you were already looking at, so it doesn't help you in that regard.

I had to use a number of different technologies to get my system to be fully automated, and that presented a number of different technical hurdles that varied from platform to platform.

Once it was up and running however, it took care of it self rather nicely.
