Hello,

I would suggest you to start with reproducing figure 3.  https://github.com/sharvanath/ModNet_Modules has the code for dummy module.

The source code for some other modules and the streaming video server have not been properly cleaned up and structured for release yet, but you can find the code for the steraming video server here: https://github.com/PrincetonUniversity/mistserver which is a fork of mistserver (https://mistserver.org/).

Note that this is not very well structured, so you might have to dig in a little bit. If you are interested, you can try to understand the code in detail. Also, I would appreciate if you can send a pull request for any changes/code clean up you perform.

Lemme know if you have more questions.

Thanks,
Sharva

Dear Sharvanath Pathak:
My name is Xiaoqing Sun,a junior at BUPT(BeiJing University of Post and Telecommunication)in China, majoring in information engineering.I'm writing to ask for some advice about the ModNet.
I got started with "Computer Network" at the begining of this semester and my teacher assigned me to study your paper 《ModNet: A Modular Approach to Network Extension》 two weeks ago. I found it's very interesting and meaningful ,thus I want to try it in person. I downloaded the source code from GitHub and
setup the kernel successfully, but I don't know how to test its performance.I'm wondering if you can tell me the concrete steps to make a performance comparison, specifically, how to switch variants, make traffic statistics and finally work out Figure 10"The bitrate of video segments for a synthetic bandwitdth trace for all the three variants:adaptive, truncate and yank" in your paper.
Thank you for reading my letter patiently, and I'll be appreciate if you can give me some advice.
       Looking forward to your reply!
