Hi,

The mailing list that is listed in the documentation is throwing an error when trying to visit the page:

"This group either doesn't exist, or you don't have permission to access it. If you're sure this group exists, contact the Owner of the group and ask them to give you access."

Please advise on how to subscribe to the developer mailing list, thanks.

That is strange, does it still give you this error? You were able to post to the group, so maybe it is cleared up?

I sent you a manual invitation from the group, so you should be able to join now. Let me know if that doesn't work.

Thanks Devin, that seems to have worked.  It looks like group is set up as "invitation only", as it asked me a few preference questions this time when accessing the group.

Thanks, I think I updated it so it won't be a problem anymore. Google groups recently updated some of their policies, and they automatically set the group as listed to members only. I just updated it to be fully public (hopefully).

By the way, is there any kind of developer chatroom for Modin, or a desire for one?  A lot of projects on Github are using Gitter (which is a part of Github), and this can be joined to IRC as well.  FreeCAD is one such project that does this.  Dask uses Gitter as well, and keeps separate rooms for devs and general users (dev talk vs usage talk).

We have a Slack, I'm happy to invite you or anyone interested in joining, just let me know. Other projects in the RISELab have had better success with this than with Gitter, and I am less of a fan of the Gitter UI. We haven't made the Slack public yet, but once it is, we will add it to the documentation. Again, I will still invite anyone that would like to join, just reply to the thread to let me know.

We also have a Discourse: https://discuss.modin.org

Some development related conversations do happen there as well. That may be more along the lines of what you were looking for.
