I have some difficulty in importing LAKE data to MODLOW6 in MODELMUSE. After I load the necessary data into the LAKE object MODFLOW features LAK page and press OK, the data seem to disappear from the model setup. Is there a workaround to import the data into MODELMUSE? Thanks.

I have the same problem with MODFLOW6 and Modelmuse 4.3.0.0: the checked LAK package disappear after pressing OK.
  • Is this a bad configuration or a bug?
  • Does somebody find a workaround?
  • Is it the same with modflow 2005?

I can post a basic example if this can help

Thanks

The most likely reason for lake data not being saved is that no transient lake data was specified.

@ RichardBWinston : yes, you are true, LAK disappear if there is one missing data in Lake Time Properties.
I was able to check the LAK permanently 2 hours after my post but I performed a W10 update to 19041.867(french) in the mean time.
All my old test project with unchecheked LAK "bug" are now checked. This need to be confirm by somebody else because I am not sure of the my old programs status...
For information, my parameters are (with no failure):
Lake properties: Number of outlet:0, Horizontal&Vertical checked, Single-cell lake unchecked, -0.5, -5, 0, Kz, 0.1,0
Lake time properties: -1,0,Active,0,0,0,0,0,0
Lake table: nothing
The test project is a 10x10x1 cells 10m thickness and 2 left and right CHD lines at -1m and -5m

Problem solved for me
Thanks

Hello,
I have a simular problem with modelmuse 5 and mf6:
An error message occurs if I define a lake and I can't define a lake.  Is the reason that I build a steady state model with no transient lake data?
Thanks.

There is a bug in ModelMuse regarding lakes in MODFLOW 6. Please contact me at my work email, rbw...@usgs.gov,  for a fixed version.
