Hi to all,
it seems that there is an upcoming demand of the simulation of geothermal heat exchange probe fields.
While the simulation of heat exchange by wells is more or less state of the art using MT3D resp. GWT with any version of Modflow, the physical processes within a borehole heat exchanger are more complex (if you take a close look on it) and basically local grid refinement will be necassary, which leads to unstructered grids (maybe still rectanular) and to MF6 in combination with GWT using e.g. ModelMuse 4.
Is there someone to share experiences or simply comment?
