Hi everyone !

I really struggle with creating my templates and instructions files with Visual MODFLOW. As you know, most of VModflow output files are in a binary form.

If someone can give me tips or help, I will be forever thankfull !

Have a good afternoon
et bonne journée !

How are your abilities in Python? Model muse + MODFLOW + Flopy could be a good option

If you dont wanna go the scripting route, the pest gw utilities can help process binary MF files into ascii files:

For making .ins files, look into the PEST gwutils.

There are tons of tools for postprocessing binary model outputs and printing to ascii files that can be easily read by PEST and made into .ins files.

For .tpl files, if the GUI does not work you either need to switch GUIs, use flopy, or make the files manually (notepad++ is good for this type of thing)

Personally, I use GWV and python mostly
