hi everyone
I'm working with Modflow 2005 via ModelMuse and would like to do the
calibration of Hydraulic Conductivities with PEST implementing Pilot
Points, however i can't seem to get the template & instruction files
right.
I think I could learn a lot from seeing an example of such files
If you have done this before and have the text files available could
you please be so kind to show/direct or send me the files so I can
have an example to help me draft my own set of files?

Thanks so much and best regards

Miguel can you please send it to me if you find these files and of course I will send you as well if I find it.

Thanking You and Regards

Hi

I use Groundwater Vistas, which sets up the PEST, Pilot Points and SVD-Assist files for you. Have you looked at the example you can download from www.pesthomepage.org?

Hello and thanks for the tip,
access to Groundwater Vistas would come in handy in this case, I would
use UCODE via ModelMuse but I haven't read anything about the use of
PilotPoints with UCODE, in my case these are required for the
calibration
Yes the example helps somewhat to get an idea of certain files
involved, however it's for a model using Modflow 2000, so I don't
know how much the files would differ for Modflow 2005 model, and it
does not implement Pilot Points.
Part of the issue is that with Modlfow 2005 the files still have to be
mostly "hand made" for PEST.
The manual is useful, nevertheless it would be a great help to see
what a prepared package of files for a calibration similar to mine
would look like mine.

cheers,
ML

Could you please explain how you did the calibration of Hydraulic Conductivities with PEST implementing Pilot points. Can you please suggest me any manuals or tutorials which will help me to do the same.
