Hi,
I have assigned the model top as my drain elevation but I am getting a warning of large drain elevation gradient. How can I resolve this? Please help

Hej!!

I get these warnings all the time depending upon how you define drain elevation.
However I ignore them because the model serves to be good enough to represent the observed groundwater levels.

My suggestion would be to just ignore because the drainage in the low lying areas in the topography are going to adjust the groundwater levels anyways.

hi, that happens because the conductance is very high, so the model can be unstable, but it is not necesarelly wrong.

You should examine the identified locations and decide whether or not there is a problem. If not, you can ignore the warning.

The warning about the drain elevation gradient is triggered when the gradient in elevation between drains into neighboring cells exceeds a certain limit. The warning is meant to help identify locations where the drain elevation was specified incorrectly. However, it may also identify locations that are actually correct so the user must decide weather or not anything needs to be done.
