Hi all,

I am looking for efficient ways to export 3D head or water table data from a transient MODFLOW model that contains hundreds of stress periods.

From what I know, ModelMuse only allows exporting results after loading/displaying them from the binary head file, which becomes impractical when dealing with many stress periods. My goal is to export maps for all stress periods and process them in GIS separately.

  • Is there a way to automate this export directly instead of manually loading each stress period in ModelMuse?

  • Alternatively, is there any option within ModelMuse to process the binary head file—for example, to calculate the average water table across all stress periods—without exporting each one manually

Try it in flopy. It will be easier and faster.
