Hi,
I have a simple modflow model, with stady-state condition (2 layers, confined, 3 wells, no piezometers). Can you explain me please,
how can I calibrate this model in PEST (step by step, any videos)?
Regards

Milan,

I'm not a ModelMuse user, but I'm sure it has a few tutorials about PEST (https://www.usgs.gov/mission-areas/water-resources/modelmuse-tutorial-videos-0). Please watch at least those videos before using PEST. It also doesn't hurt if you also have a little more in depth knowledge about MODFLOW itself, so watch the other tutorials as well.

More important, however, is to consult the PEST website at "pesthomepage.org" where you'll find a series of videos from its developer (John Doherty), worked examples and case studies, and of course the entire PEST documentation. I would like to draw everyone's attention that PEST is a complex tool and requires a lot of extra knowledge and experience to use it properly.

Back to your original question, please note that calibration of any kind (manual and/or automated) requires observations, which your model reportedly doesn't have.

András
