Hello everyone,

My name is Utsho Bhowmik, and I am a Civil Engineering graduate from Bangladesh. I am currently looking for potential MS/PhD opportunities for Fall 2027 in the United States or Canada, particularly in groundwater modeling, contaminant transport, hydrogeology, and related areas.

For my undergraduate thesis, I investigated long-term chromium migration in groundwater from an open landfill using the MODFLOW–MT3DMS framework. This research has also been published in a journal. Now I am exploring machine learing algorithms for environmental applications.

My GRE score is 315 (Quantitative: 166). I am attaching my research portfolio for more information about me.

I would greatly appreciate any recommendations regarding professors, research groups, or universities working with MODFLOW, groundwater flow and contaminant transport modeling, or similar research topics also I want to explore the field of remediation and destruction of emerging contaminants in the U.S. or Canada.
