Hi friends,

I am getting an error as attached below when I run the model using 'MODFLOW-NWT' as the flow engine. The same model works well with the flow engine MODFLOW 2005.  Someone please help me to solve the problem.

Hi,

The error shows that the model diverged (changes are of the order of 10^2), which raised an error from FORTRAN, it is not an error from MODFLOW.

As you changed the solver to the NWT solver you should change the solver parameters (the default parameters could be basic to the problem you are trying to solve). A good starting point is to try the predefined options that the solver offers (SIMPLE, MODERATE, and COMPLEX) or to look at the online guide (https://water.usgs.gov/ogw/modflow-nwt/MODFLOW-NWT-Guide/). If the COMPLEX option does not work, you should try using the SPECIFIED options which allows you to specify all the linear/non-linear solver parameters.

Hope this helps you.

Thank you sir for the suggestion. I have already tried by changing Specified, simple, moderate and complex solver options. Once again I will try by changing solver parameters and let you know.
