Apologies for any cross-postings. Comprehensive training courses for MODFLOW-USG and PEST are being held September 2016 in Bethesda, MD. Early bird registration still open!

Unstructured Grid MODFLOW-USG Course: A MODFLOW-USG training course will be held in Bethesda, MD, Sept. 6-9, 2016. The course is being co-organized by S.S. Papadopulos & Assoc. Inc and GSI Environmental. The course provides a complete overview of MODFLOW-USG. The course will cover groundwater modeling with MODFLOW-USG from start-to-finish, including: theory, model/grid design, particle tracking, calibration, and visualization. Instruction for the course will be provided by Dr. Sorab Panday, author of MODFLOW-USG, Dr. John Doherty, author of PEST, James Rumbaugh, author of Groundwater Vistas (GWV), Chris Muffels, author of mod-PATH3DU, and Marinko Karanovic, author of the 3D visualization program Groundwater Desktop (GWD). This course will comprise a balance of lectures and hands-on exercises with ample room for discussion. Parameter Estimation Course using PEST: A two-part PEST course will be held in Bethesda, MD, Sept.12-15, 2015, comprising a two-day “Introduction to PEST” course and a subsequent two-day “Advanced Analysis using PEST” course. Attendees can register for the "Introductory" course or the "Advanced" course, or for both courses for a discount on individual prices. Instruction will be given by John Doherty, developer of PEST. Participants in either course will be provided with a CD containing 12 hands-on exercises which they can take away with them to study at their leisure.
