Can just the SPs after the particles are released in ModPath have every step saved?

I'm running MPATH7 on the LA Basin model, which is MF-6. It is a huge model that starts in 1971 and is now extended to 2040 for particle tracking. I only want to run a MPATH from 2000 - 2040. If I save head and budget for every time step for the whole model the files are like 50 GB. Will MPATH run if only the period from 2000 - 2040 has every time step saved? I don't think it will because it has been crashing when I try it. If it won't, is there a way to restart MF-6 at 2000 like GSFLOW does?
