Dear Sir, I am a student of your MA Final Modern Indian History class. I have read your article on Gandhi which you uploaded onto our Google group. The question of the authenticity of peasants' appeals to Gandhiji seems to me something that a historian should be careful about. I would really like to know how would you differentiate an original letter from a fake one or a fabricated one? We are not taught such methodologies in class and I am curious to learn the various methods required for research in this field. I shall be looking forward for your advice.
Thanking You, yours sincerely, Tathagata Sarkar St Stephen's College
