Next week, the National Academy of Social Insurance and the Policy Academies are sponsoring the first of several one-day workshops in Washington, D.C., for "interns and young professionals."
"Academy experts will “demystify” Social Security and Supplemental Security Income. We will talk about what Americans want, "demystify" Capitol Hill, and discuss why Gen Z and millennials should care about social insurance. In a lunchtime interactive, attendees will be challenged to collaborate with experts to propose policy solutions for Social Security solvency."
Admission is free; breakfast and lunch provided. This event is Tuesday, June 17, starting at 10:00 am EDT. Register via EventBrite.
I'm posting this here because MMTers and friends have long been concerned with refuting FUD about "Social Security and Medicare going broke" (e.g., "Saving Social Security").
