I can't get the license key

Hi!

Unfortunately I can't get the license file and license key.

I've reinstalled ModelSim dozen times using IE, Firefox and Chrome as
default browsers, but always when the tool tries get the license, I
reach the page http://portal.model.com/d/license_reject.asp.

And it says
"Thank you for requesting the ModelSim PE Student Edition license. We
have released a new version of ModelSim PE Student Edition and require
that you download and install the current version."

I use windows 7, 64 bits.

What should I do?

There is a new release of ModelSim student edition and it sound like
you are trying to install an older version. Free student edition
licenses will only be issue for current versions of ModelSim student
edition. My suggestion would be to download the current version and
install that. The license request form works best if Firefox is your
default browser.

Also, the license will only work with the current installation of
student edition. If you have to re-install student edition you will
have to request a new license.

danilo,

I just found out that the license generator wasn't updated to match
the 10.0d
release. That has been fixed so you should now be able to uninstall/
re-install
PE Student Edition 10.0d and get a valid license.

This was a problem I was having last night.
I had to come to the lab in the middle of the night to finish my
homework :P
