License issue yet again

I have installed student edition. i am getting this fatal error.
Please help me out.

Hi All,

Ihave installed the modelsim student 6.4c edition yesterday and even i
got the student license.dat file and i saved in c/modelsim_pe6.4c
directory now whemnn i am trying to simulate some example files i am
getting this fatal error.

please help me out

Anildesh,

Did you change the name of the file or is it still
student_license.dat?
Did you open the file in an editor? If so, did you use a plain text
editor
like notepad? If you used a non-plain-text editor hidden formatting
characters
can be placed in the file rendering it useless.

My only recommendation would be to uninstall/reinstall ModelSim PE
Student Edition and request another license file.

Hey,

Even I have the same license issues. I uninstalled and reinstalled
ModelSim again, but it still doesnt work and gives me the same fatal
error.
Any solutions?

Megha,

When you reinstalled ModelSim PE Student Edition did you request
another license file? Each installation requires its own unique
license file. If so, did you place the license file in the ModelSim
top level install directory? (example: C:\ModelSim_PE_EDU_64c
\student_license.dat)

Dear All
i downloaded the modelsim 6.4 c SE and installed it . I copied its
licence in its directory. and when i try to run it it sayS

"UNABLE TO CHECK VIEWER LICENSE NECESSORY FOR USE OF MODELSIM
GRAPHICAL USER INTERFACE. VSIM IS CLOSING. "
please can any body help me out

ModelSim SE requires a viewer license which you must purchase. Did
you mean to install SE or were you trying to download and install the
PE Student Edition?
