Can't install ModelSim PE Student Edition 10.4a on Windows 10 Pro

Hi, I'm trying to install ModelSim PE Student Edition 10.4a on my Windows 10 Pro 64-bit OS PC. But when I double-clicked on the executable file, it's tries to unpacking for a while and then disappears itself. Please some effective suggestions here!!

 After I turned on Windows 7 compatibility mode setup was successful.

Hey, I have the same issue with Windows 10 Pro, 64-bit. Unpacks files when clicked and then does nothing afterwards.

I was having the same issue but it finally worked for me with windows 10. you have to signin to system as an administrator. I tried it and it worked at the third time of double clicking of the exe. file.

May try it with your internet connected.

try starting windows in "safe mode with networking" and install from there. this method worked for me, also Windows 10 Pro 64bit.

If none of the other suggestions work, after the unpacking try ending the SearchUI.exe process from the resource monitor. I did that and suddenly it started installing modelsim

I found the solution for this problem. None of suggestions that i found works for me, so i tried using this steps:

1: rename the file modelsim-pe_student_edition.exe to modelsim-pe_student_edition.rar

2:  unpacking this file and change the properties of Setup.exe and _ISDel.exe. The only configuration that i had success was changing the "compatible configuration for all users" setting the compatible mode to Windows98/Me and giving administrator permissions.

3: On Control Panel, click Program and Resources and select the Internet Explorer 11.

4: double click on Setup.exe and installation is started. This may take few minutes, but for me this was the only way to install.

5: At the end of the installation process, select Finish and a browser window will open with the License Request form

I cannot find IE on my installed programs.
