28 project truck and parts

I wanted to see if Packrat56 still has the truck and parts advertised on your site. Also, where is he located. I located a 29 AA mail truck and I need numerous items if I intend to restore it.

interesting........I restored a '31 in 1960 and all I've seen have been '30 or 31s.   I would like to someday either find the one I restored (located somewhere in So. Cal. in 1970 when I traded it for an MG TC.... I saw the two trucks which were at the Kirkland sale (both, as I understand it, had reserves at about 40K and were no-sales in the 20-30 K range.) mine was great to restore and was our only means of transportation when my wife and I were first married.. 40 mph on the Pomona freeway...right lane .slowest folks on the road...but other drivers appreciated the truck and honked with good nature as they passed us.....I'd hate to try it today... I'm not sure what parts you need...as you know the wooden bodies were custom made and each manufacturer built slightly different....however, as you probably know, several of the guys who recently have completely manufactured new bodies to the old specs probably have plans they'd be willing to share with you...anyway, good luck on your project...I hope you're both ambitious and a competent woodworker...if so, you'll have fun...if not, you won't
