Install Modbus-tk without setuptools?

Is there a way to install (Manually if need be) the modbus-tk package without python setuptools being installed on the system. i am using an openwrt embedded system that has minimal space and the setuptools when being setup take up too much room.

I got the setuptools installed and used them to install it.

Even through the limitations of space.

Hello Jeffrey,

Sorry for late answer and happy to know that you succeed to install. modbus_tk is just Python code and should work fine if you copy manually the needed directories somewhere in your python path.
