YouTube constantly refreshing

When I open the tutorials and have them load on YouTube itself in a new tab, YouTube just sits there and refreshes itself. I see the page load briefly, but then it's gone again because YouTube keeps refreshing. This happened when I clicked several YouTube links from within a Google Document (Introduction to CODAP Guide), it happened when I clicked the link below the tutorial vidoes on the tutorial page, and it happened when I copied the link and opened up a new window and tried to watch it there.

As long as I don't try to watch the videos in YouTube and stay on the tutorial page, it will let me watch them. But I can't get any of them to stop refreshing when I click the links and go to the YouTube page itself. I'm wondering if there's an issue because it's trying to play an unlisted video from a link in a playlist? I have no idea. But it's definitely off-putting. I don't mind navigating back to tutorials every time I want to watch a video, but I thought someone should be aware.

FYI: I'm on Chrome Version 83.0.4103.97 (Official Build) (64-bit), Windows 10.

The same thing is happening to me.  I haven't figured out a way to watch them yet.

I'm having the same issue. I put in a tech request to the Boise School District and they are currently working on it. One of our techs seems to think that my school account is somehow set to student settings.

A quick solution is to open youtube in an incognito tab (Ctrl+Shift+N)...that's been working for me.

Joe Champion suggested the following - I know this sounds crazy, but one suggestion might be to try a different browser (e.g., Firefox or Edge). YouTube has lots of bells and whistles in Chrome, so it may work with less hiccups in another browser. Also, the old "restart your computer" solution might work here too.

It could also be an ad blocker or internet connection issue.

Hey all! I just hit the X at the top left of my screen (where the refresh button is usually at), and that did the job. It helped the page to stop refreshing and the video played fine after that. I’ve only tried it on one video, but that seemed to work! Hopefully it will help you all as well.
