Hi there!

Hope someone is reading here...

I'm looking for a auth-external solution for Apach2.2 under MS Windows
(in my case 2003 Srv).
Because of a special streaming software it is not possible for me to
change to linux, where all my problems where solved...

So has anyone mod_auth*_external compiled for Windows and could send
me a howto?
Since about 4 days I'm trying to get it working...

Thanks,
Andreas

Hi. It's only relatively recently that mod_auth_external has been
rewritten so that it uses no Unix system functions, but works instead
entirely through Apache's machine independent API. Theoretically it
should be usable under windows now, but I myself have no knowledge of or
experience with windows development. If anyone has actually tried to
use it under windows, then they haven't told me about it. If anyone
ever shows up interested in working on that, I'd be happy to help make
changes to work around any problems, and to roll the
changes/documentation into future releases of the distribution, but I'm
not well equiped or motivated to pursue this project myself.
