SYNCHRONY 3.4 permits a PC to communicate with a UNIX system via RS-232
direct connect or asynchronous modems. SYNCHRONY features:
TERMINAL EMULATION: DEC VT-100, IBM 3101, Teletype 5410, Tektronix 4014
FILE TRANSFER: ASCII and binary files in both directions. Text files
automatically reformatted. XMODEM protcol permits
transfer with non-UNIX systems.
BATCH LANGUAGE: Script PC sessions for automatic operation.
KEYBOARD MACROS: Program any PC key to be any sequence or to invoke
a script.
UNIX COMMANDS: Use SYNCHRONY to login to the UNIX shell. From the
shell, issue commands to transfer files, do MS-DOS
DIR commands, etc.
UNIX DIAL-UP: SYNCHRONY permits the UNIX system to call and control
remote, unattended PCs. The UNIX system can initiate
file transfers.
