4.2BSD for National Semiconductor's ICM3216

The University of Toronto's Engineering Computing Facility (ECF)
has been licensed to distribute a 4.2BSD port for the ICM3216.
The ICM3216 is a National Semiconductor board set based upon the
NS32016 chip set. For the uninitiated, the ICM3216 features:

- Series 32000 chip set (CPU, TCU, MMU, FPU & ICU)
- 1 to 8 Megabytes ram (zero wait state)
- 10 Mhz operation
- four RS232C serial ports, selectable baud rates
- One parallel port, IBM PC printer interface
- National's Minibus interface
- Full SCSI interface (asynchronous data transfers only)
- Separate 8-bit Z80 CPU for I/O channel (SCSI) interface control
- Time-of-day clock and calendar, with battery backup
- Bootload EPROM sockets


The 4.2BSD distribution includes:
- C, fortran and pascal compilers
- a kernel binary configuration package
- serial-net driver
- SCSI hard disk driver, SCSI streaming tape driver.
- line printer driver
- bootload EPROMS

A binary-only version is available on a 9 track cartridge tape.
