I have rebooted and reinstalled (httpd 2.4.2) few times but keep
getting error on "rpm -U".
The httpd runs fine with ssl.

Appreciate your comment.

Does mod_spdy support Apache 2.4?

I believe it does not.

This seems like a good time to mention that we would gladly welcome patches to mod_spdy.  (-:  If anyone on this list has experience with writing Apache modules and wants to figure out what it would take to port mod_spdy to Apache 2.4 (or fix/improve any other aspect of mod_spdy), please do drop me a line.

Cheers,

No, It does not work, I tried to fix the problem but Im still wondering where to start..  google suffers a heavy NIH syndrome and likes to use obscure build systems and bundled libraries, even the source code of apache and its libraries are bundled and tied to the build process... for the start there are symbol clashes and incompatibilites just caused by bundling older apache/apr/apr-util..

I will see what can be done :-|

Did you (or anyone else) start working porting mod_spdy to Apache 2.4? The Fedora team would like to add mod_spdy to Fedora but this is not possible since Fedora has Apache 2.4: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=809599

Any updates on this? If it could work on Apache 2.4, that would be awesome.

It looks like someone has ported this to Apache 2.4: https://github.com/eousphoros/mod-spdy

A comparison of master against the "original" source can be found here: https://github.com/eousphoros/mod-spdy/compare/f6b7303...master

It's quite a bit of code, and I work with different languages, so I'm not qualified to verify it, let alone create a patch. Hoping you, or someone else, can though (verify it's doing what it says it does, at the very least).

It would be nice to know the License this is under... The orig mod_spdy is ALv2, and it would be great if I could fold this into the mod_spdy distro now in trunk (which is the donation of mod_spdy by Google to Apache)...

Unsure if already aware but the repo has been updated to include the ALV2 Licence. Are we able to fold this into the distro now that this is the case? Unsure if anyone has reviewed it thus far?

mod_spdy has moved to Apache. Looks like 2.4 support is being worked on:
