I just installed mod_spdy for my old server (Fedora 13, don't judge
me) running Apache 2.2.17, and when I tried accessing an SSL-enabled
site, while Firefox did report that it was running SPDY, it kept
attempting to redirect until it gave up.

Potentially important is that I am using a self-signed certificate on
this site. I don't know what else might be the issue.

I was also using this with mod_php, which I know is not recommended
because of thread-safety issues, but I don't think that that is the
root cause of *this* specific issue.

Any chance that it's related to one of the known issues described here?  http://code.google.com/p/mod-spdy/issues/detail?id=34

If so, there are some workarounds on that page that might help.

Cheers,

Matthew,

Thanks.  It did, indeed, turn out to be that issue and the temporary workaround suggested in that issue did resolve it, though I hope the implementation of that flag is completely so that a different configuration just for mod_spdy is not required.

Additionally, I uncovered a different, unrelated bug, involving mod_logio which I reported here:
