No permission to rewrite

Hi, I'm new with this, the company's website is presenting load latencies, there is no storage or network error, checking the error.log showed: 
Fail to make directory /var/cache/mod_pagespeed/v3: permission denied.

I gave permission to a + r to www-data and I already created three files:
!clean!time!
shm_metadata_cache
v3

But now i have this error:

Can you help me please!!!

Looks like the module is functioning correctly, but external domains are not optimized by default.

However in this case I believe the consensus is that it is probably better to leave jquery at this origin, as chances are the browser already has a copy in cache. And even when it hasn’t the hosting via good is pretty good.

Sorry, I meant to say: the hosting via google is pretty good.
