Inspired by his work I quickly put a piece of plywood in my desktop laser cutter and set it to work. Minutes later the promise appeared, and within moments I had pieced everything together in a fully functioning mechanical iris. Awesome!
However, after admiring the design I spotted few ways in which I felt it could be improved.
So here it is; my take on the Mechanical iris (v2.0).

The NEBcutter is a database where a user can paste a DNA sequence they have obtained (via sequencing techniques) and see what, if any, restriction enzyme cut sites there are. NEBcutter is based off of the database called REBASE (Restriction Enzyme dataBASE) that is hosted by New England Biolab. They are a company that provides scientists with multiple different products for use in a lab environment i.e buffers, enzymes, etc. NEB also provides tools and resource programs for scientists to use free of charge.
The reason why the error message mentioned OpenSSL 1.1.1+ and LibreSSL 2.8.3 is that urllib3 v2.0 (the version you've installed) requires OpenSSL 1.1.1+ to work properly, as it relies on some new features of OpenSSL 1.1.1.
