Is compiler necessary?

Hi,

I'm trying to use mochiweb in conjunction with webmachine. I really
don't want to include the compiler in a production node unless I have
to. Is the compiler application absolutely necessary for mochiweb to
function?

What makes you think that it is necessary to have a compiler available at runtime for mochiweb to function?

The .app file in mochiweb states the compiler as a dependency.

I believe that's only there because reloader uses it, and you shouldn't be using that module in a production server.

Ok, thank you for the clarification. It might be useful to add a comment to that effect to the .app file so that it is clear to people who are new to mochiweb.
