Supporting parallel mocha suites?

I would like to support concurrent mocha suites. 
How can I have access to a local runner context within a "describe" or a "it"? 
I need to avoid using global variables.

nah I did that with expresso, it just makes things really difficult to debug and not much faster to be honest, that's not

something I'm interested in
