For those of you who asked about the Tango Canyengue workshops at the Brussels Tango Festival next week, here is more detailed information:

First Workshop 'Canyengue Initiation' (31 March, 11-12.30h): For all those who, for the first time, want to experience dancing Tango in Canyengue style.

Don't miss this opportunity to try Canyengue, have some fun and enjoy this joyful, rhythmic style of tango!

Second Workshop 'Canyengue 1' (31 March, 13-14.30h):

Cambios de peso, Caminando a Tierra, Usando " Tiempos y dobletiempos".Combinaciones.

Third Workshop 'Canyengue 2' (1 April, 17-18.30h):
La calidad del abrazo. Circulando en la pista de baile.

Walking with ground contact, with cadence, marking the rhythm with each step, change of weight that you do not see but very much feel. Unstructured, free of choreographed sequences, but with rapid playful movements of the feet and flexible legs, agile steps linked to the rhythm, similar to the happy style of the milonga. It allows you to approach improvisation more rapidly and easily, and thus to enjoy the dance. All of that is Tango Canyengue!

 

Caminar a tierra, con cadencia, marcando el ritmo al caminar, cambios de peso que no se ven, pero que si se sienten. Desestructurado, libre de secuencias coreograficas, pero con un rapido jugar en los pies y piernas elasticas, pasos agiles y entregados al ritmo, similar al alegre estilo de la milonga. Permite acercarse de una manera mas rapida y simple a la improvisacion y al disfrutar del baile. Todo esto es el Tango Canyengue!
