Folks, I would like to announce that the team completed everything we had on our list for our 0.1 release last Friday.  Congratulations team, and especially Ian, Jon, George, Ryan, and Jay for all your hard work.  It took longer than expected, but … thats the nature of the beast.

HaaS is still experimental, and in particular provides no authentication or authorization mechanisms -- we do not recommend using it in environments with untrusted users, or exposing it to an untrusted network. However, it is sufficiently feature complete to use in a cooperative environment. Most importantly, it is in a position now where we feel comfortable exposing it to early users and driving ongoing development based on requirements from users.  Please start using it and beating us up.

The README.rst (see bottom of page: https://github.com/CCI-MOC/haas) links to several documents that provide instructions on installation, usage, etc.  We have had a number of non experts walk through the documentation and install the system from scratch.   The release includes some some scripts to generate a bare Ubuntu VM for use as a headnode, and scripts for configuring that VM to boot nodes into a CentOS 6 kickstart install.
