EtherPad, Google Wave and future of MobWrite

Now that Google acquired EtherPad I wonder how this will affect
MobWrite:

Or maybe this news is completely irrelevant to MobWrite, since neither
GWave is nor EtherPad was open source. Right?

EtherPad was not open sourced, but Google Wave is. Etherpad and Wave
are similar in that they completely control the collaboration
experience, they are end-user products. Whereas MobWrite is designed
as a light-weight plugin to make existing applications collaborative.

MobWrite and Etherpad/Wave serve different collaborative needs, they
each approach the problem from opposite directions. I don't see any
conflict here.
