As many of you are working on your mLearning projects, a quick note for those that want to plan something in very sunny regions.
In the past I have been involved in projects throughout Africa and one of the simple, yet very impactful challenges for those proects was the brightness of the screen.
The fact that in certain very sunny moments the screens of some mobile devices could not be read. This caused problems in getting data entered, movies viewed, etcetera.
This very small detail had a big effect on the perception of the mobile solution we provided, as such the devices were re-screened to buy only those devices that could be read in strong sunshine.

Thanks Inge, I must have missed this post.. Totally agree. It personally drives me nuts when I can't read the screen on my mobile.
