Good morning – this advocacy alert is very timely to the discussion on the listserv is an advocacy alert from the Greater WI Agency on Aging Resources on this national issue related to volunteers. Please spread this far and wide to your national contacts. Rep. Petri of WI introduced a bill to make the charitable driving reimbursement rate equal to that of the IRS business rate. There is only one co-sponsor who signed on just yesterday and there needs to be more to move it from the Ways and Means Committee. Please take a minute to read below, forward the email and make a call. Let your representative know how important volunteers are to your program and to those it serves!
See attached Advocacy Alert – Co-sponsors needed for H.R. 1212: Charitable Driving Tax Relief Act of 2013. Contact your U.S. Representatives.
