Lee Karker, Coastal Trans, Rockland, ME, is looking to apply for New Freedom funding to support a mobility management program.  Coastal is interested in knowing how other people are using the funds to support mobility management so they can approach Maine DOT about it.  Any help, particularly in working with state DOTs and other state agencies is much appreciated!

Lee's contact info is:

Lee Karker, (207) 596-6477, lka...@mchinc.org

I have one example from the Regional Planning Commission of Greater Birmingham (AL).

Please copy me as shown below on others and thank you!

Hi Bev,

Hope you are enjoying the summer.

I spoke with Michele Manley, who I see copied on your e-mail, about this last week. I will forward my e-mail that I sent to you.

Wisconsin is another state using New Freedom to fund a mobility manager; Lee Myers in Omaha, NE is another. I am sure there are many more I cannot think of right now.

The best examples I know are  in Wisconsin and most recently in New York. The contacts are Ingrid Koch (Wisconsin)  608-266-1379 and Tom Vaughn (New York) 518-457-7248.
